"So how does this work?", I asked myself while looking at the weighing machine and holding a bag of red bell peppers ready for their weigh-in. Yup, a no brainer. For me though, coming from the Philippines, and used to having someone weigh them for us (I wonder why the supermarkets there won't let us weigh and sticker it ourselves...) , that moment was a little bit uneasy. And to add to that, there were already other customers lining up behind me waiting for my turn. I left the weighing machine and watched the others do it. Then I understood how to use it. I should have paid more attention to that supermarket attendant in the Philippines who weighed and stickered my vegetables.
Well, true enough, it was a no brainer. The picture on the right shows the weighing machine. Below the machine is the weighing base. Put your items to purchase there. Next, there is usually an item code guide on the top or near the weighing machine. Get the code of your item and type on the monitor in front of the machine. In the picture at the right, it's the blueish screen. After typing the code, a sticker will come out of a slot. In the picture, its the one on the left side. Lastly, stick it on the plastic bag. Now your item is ready for scanning at the checkout counter. Easy.
