I aways try to imagine how a lone expat 15 years would go about living in this city (Vevey) which I would imagine to have just 30,000 inhabitants in the 1990s and most of them keeping to themselves. It must be lonely. And with most chores done by themselves, it must be hectic and lonely at the same time. Fortunately, today, it may be different. Thank goodness for the internet which brings us company in the likes of skype and facebook. However, minus loneliness, it might be still hectic. A few weeks ago, I was filming myself preparing broiled chicken. The video was supposed to be emailed to the members of the Christmas Party Committee as an instructional video on how to make simple broiled chicken for the committee to do and serve during the party. The recipe was sacked and we did broiled pork instead. However, while doing the film, the idea about making this recipe for the single expat hit me, hence, this post. For the single expat, this is for you - simple, no-brainer, yummy, and when your done cooking just throw the baking pan in the dishwasher...no frills.
